pumas_image Breez Finance is a proud sponsor of the Springwood Pumas Australian Rules Football Club. Sponsoring local sporting clubs within our community provides assistance for the improvement of facilities, purchase of equipment and the promotion of sport and a healthy and active lifestyle.

We believe that adolescence is a difficult time in life and sports provide adolescents an outlet. Kicking a football, hitting a tennis ball, or any sort of sport releases tension and frustration after having a bad day. In addition, the activity can release "feel good hormones" (endorphins).

It is important that businesses get behind local clubs to ensure their success because providing children and adolescents with sport provides a healthier, safer and happier community. Teens who play a sport will most likely bond with their teammates and this improves their social skills. Sports can also maintain and improve parent-teen bonding, if the parents are involved and encourage their son or daughter.

Sports foster many of the skills teens will use in high school and adulthood. Teenagers who play a sport are already starting a habit of exercise that increases the chances they will continue it throughout adulthood.

The Breez Finance Children's Festival

spirits0509cl042webjpg The Breez Finance Childrens Festival is an annual 10 day event held by University of Southern Queensland (Toowoomba) and sponsored by Breez Finance.

A much anticipated event on the cultural calendar for children, the Children's Festival has introduced many generations to the joys of live performance and art appreciation.

Since the late 1970’s over 80,000 children have experienced live theatre and music in the Arts Theatre. In 2006 a Visual Arts component was added to include an interactive exhibition especially for children. Children's Theatre Week has became a much-anticipated event on the local calendar and an integral part of the community. In many cases, entire generations of families have seen their first live play at the University.

Weekday performances attract school groups from across the Darling Downs ranging from day-care centres to high school classes studying Youth Theatre and weekends attracted family groups from across the region. You can view speeches made at the Breeze Finance Childrens Festival. CLICK HERE

The Compassionate Friends

compassionat friends The Compassionate Friends is a self-help support organization for bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents. They offer friendship and understanding to families who are grieving the death of a child of any age, from any cause. All bereaved family members are welcome to The Compassionate Friends.

The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families in the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child and to provide information to help others be supportive.
